Here are sleeping actors.

I’m half way through writing the next album. i seem to have hit a difficult point of the writing process. The 6 songs i have as “yes” for the album all give off similar signals; they are all mostly rhythmical, bass heavy and very dark. I’m now finding it difficult to balance the album out. I can’t have a complete album full dark songs because i dont believe that is good art. Its not. Good art always shows signs of hope, a redemption, otherwise it renders itself useless in my mind. Who the fuck wants to hear 12 songs that offer no hope. Certainly not me.

I’m now 6 songs into the writing of my 2nd album. That is these are the 6 songs i’ve taken out of the many many songs i’ve written since my last album. I’ve selected them purely on quality but what has sub consciously emerged is a pattern through the tunes. Listening back to them i’m hearing reappearing lyrical themes that are quite dark and visual. The emphasis is also on rhythm and bass on this album. I’m being hugely influenced by Stuart Copeland from The Police.

Hi folks,
i got back from a weekend in Bergen last Sunday where i played two shows. it was a nice break away from the writing and demoing of my next album. The pressure’s been pretty intense recently with it. Since i’ve been back i’ve been working like crazy demoing the songs that i’ve written.

Hello folks..
Hope you’s all well.
These last few weeks, (xmas to end of Jan) I’ve been mainly working on songs for the next album. I’ve also had to organize things for the next part of my tour of Norway. I have another 33 shows to do, mainly in the south of Norway. The first part of the tour was all in the North and West coast of Norway. Now its the south.
Give Me

Give me a world without an axis,
no North or no South.
A world without reason,
That divides us all with doubt.

A Raindrop
07 July 2007, 10:33
I fear what would happen if people could actually see the thoughts in my head.
I often wonder whether I’m normal, I often wonder whether anyone is normal.
How do measure normal anyway?
Are you normal if you are a social person..? And therefore are you not normal if you don’t socialize much? who’s to say the people you are socializing with are normal anyway..?
Desperation
07 July 2007, 10:24
I am swallowed by it.
Jonah in the whale adrift in space.
So wanting to be found, but so desperate is my voice,
that no one can understand its languauge, or hear its plea.
Squirrels
07 July 2007, 09:44
There are but two ways to look at one thing…On a Tuesday and in between the Fridays. For the rest of the week I tend to stay in wide…The fear of squirrels never did leave me. I’ve only ever seen Trevor look that grey but once before. That was when her that delivers sand to the teardrops took offense at what was said in her direction. “A word in your near” I did say to her. “Never in a month of wigwags” she did spy. How could I have been so slow? I should have been over wakened by the Milkman. He that never did whistle, I thought all milkmen did whistle…? Anyway, I digest. Trevor was grey that sunny day cause he had heard the clouds. He’d heard them deliver, and deliver they did….!! Every Wednesday with out exception, (to her that likes it delivered that way).... Trevor had heard the what and why’s of the Universe….“Time” it was said, “is a nut shell”. And “death” it was said, “is a banana”. Long live the squirrels….! _The fear of which will never leave me…..

03 July 2007, 09:54
Sorry gets caught in my teeth.
Sorry falls out my pocket on the way to your house.
Sorry misses the rain but doesnt miss the sun.
Sorry is the coffee that I bought to your bed.
Sorry is the lines on my face.
Sorry is what I see when I look in the mirror.
Sorry is what I see when I watch the news.
Sorry is an anagram of I love you.
A Letter
08 June 2007, 18:18
I came across this the other day. It was a letter I wrote to my friend Markus while I was trying to write songs for the album. Re reading it I found it interesting to see some of the ideas that were going through my mind during the writing. I thought it might be interesting to other people who write songs.

The other day I was brushing my teeth and watching myself in the mirror, when out of the blue, my first memory of music came into my head. No idea why, it just came to me; I was an 10 year old boy, sat on the sofa in our house in Sicily, watching a music video channel.
