Most of you wont know this as most of you are probably new to Jack’s music. Jack was the lead singer in a very funky band back here in Birmingham called Honeyman… There were four in the band, Jack, Muzz, Pete and Aron. I’d be hard pushed to acurately describe their sound but like i said it was very groove based.. All these boys had a wicked sense of rhythm. There was also a lot of harmony with three of them singing together.. I seem to remember them talking a lot about Bob Marley and how much they loved his music. you could hear that in the vocal harmonies. What i can say though is that these guys were seriously funky and had the girlies going nuts at their gigs..! all four of them were pretty boys although they played their instruments like seasoned professionals. i saw them play many times and thought it was a shame they split up as they were a ery exciting band to watch live… they had that something that made each gig something very exciting.

Just thought Jack fans might be interested in this.

I am seldom impressed by new artists now days. Having been a musician and an avid music fan for over 20 years, i’ve kind of seen it all.. and done some of it.. !! However I am impressed by the new lad here jack rubinacci. His image and voice are very good, but what’s most impressive to me is the level of songwriting. Being an amateur song writer myself i know just how difficult it can be, and like the previous commenter said, this is some of the best writing i’ve heard in years. The songs that i like the most out of what i’ve heard so far are, the one on the Bio page, i’m presuming its called “Boys At Twilight”. Also off Myspace “She Makes Me Feel” which is a great pop track. But above all, the song “how long” which to me sounds like a world wide smash hit in the vein of “You’re Beautiful”.

Overall, nice work from mr Rubinacci. I hope you get what you deserve and that is if nothing else serious respect for your songwriting.

I’ve been a fan of Jack and his music for a very long time now. I used to go and watch him play with his funk band Honeyman who for those of you that dont know, were unbelievable live. One of the best bands we’ve had round here for years. Jack was a formidable showman at 21, i can only imagine how good he is now. I finally found the salad recipe that us Caselli’s have been enjoying for decades. It comes from my Italian grandmother on my dad’s side. This kind of salad we usually have with crab cioppino! It’s the perfect balances of sweet, bitter, salty and tart. You HAVE to try it bro:

Radicchio, Curly Endive, Fennel and Apple Salad

1 tbsp Dijon mustard
3 tbsp Sherry wine vinegar
3/4 cup olive oil
salt and freshly ground pepper
2 tart green apples, cored and thinly sliced
1/2 med head curly endive, torn into bite-size pieces
1 lg head radicchio, quartered, cored and thinly sliced
1 fennel bulb, trimmed, halved and cut into strips

Combine mustard and vinegar in small bowl. Gradually whisk in oil. Season with salt and pepper. Mix in apples. (Can be prepared 3 hours ahead. Cover tightly and refrigerate.)

Combine endive, radicchio and fennel in large bowl. Add apples and dressing, and toss. Adjust seasoning. ENJOY!

Ok. I’m in. I love salad and I love to cook, but I never use a recipe,so here goes…
I have 2 fav salads. One is fresh spinach and arugula topped with sliced strawberries and cinnamon sugar toasted pecans and poppyseed dressing. The sweet, the spice… it’s yummy!
The 2nd salad is served as entree. It’s parmesan and olive oil couscous topped with Italian marinated artichoke hearts and tomatoes and garlic parmesan fried chicken. Make sure the chicken has rested before you slice it and add it to the marinade. The chix, tomato, and artichoke mixture only needs about about 15 minutes for the flavor to soak in. But, the flavor is absolutely to-die-for the next day. Hope u like it.

hey jack..just passin thru & notice today u have msgs from your own gender aswell as us females.. HOORAH!! ;)..! yep i see jon asking for some smiles… i know you aren’t TOO serious from myspace.. but i also know that i’m not serious too yet when i’m videoed singing or photographed i often look terribly serious as unless as a performer you’re doing upbeat stuff, it’s hard to smile and feel the words of the song.. so altho’ it’d be nice to see some smiles.. as a performer i empathise with you in that it’s hard to smile when singing! and the mean and moody look works in the photos! but yep..a smiley one would be nice too!.. enjoyed the downloads and will put them on cd to mix with some other stuff to play in my little vw beetle on my travels.. have a good ‘un – rae ;)

Thanks for all the messages guys..! i’m so glad people are enjoying the site. Atle and me have really tried to make a site that was personal yet also asccesible and fun for people to visit. We’re going to try and maintain that feel by constantly up dating it with new songs, new give aways and hopefully good news about the album.
